Hand Chiselled Marble Sign
This technique utilizes our commercial water jet to scribe the surface of the marble with the design. Designs can be logos. lettering, or vector type images that are computer generated. The image is scribed deep but not all the way through. The operator then uses a chisel and hammer to chisel out the remaining material in the scribed areas. The result appears to be a hand chiseled design that has nice texture. This can be done on a variety of marble, granite, or other types of material. This particular piece was done for a designers front office reception area. It was six feet long by two feet tall, and was one and one quarter inches thick. This material was black marble.
