• When additional colour glaze is required on the base or on any additional components added, please add the price for additional glaze to the price of the award. Although the award shown here is a standard design, it can be altered to suit your colour and size requirement. The sizes shown are standard, however, we can also adjust the size to work for your specific requirement as well. A texture pattern can be added to the colours which will add depth and detail.
This hot melt plate is created using a sag forming process where we hand texture a mold with a ceramic compound. The mold texturing transmits to the glass as we bring it to near the melting temperature allowing the glass to sag into the mold and melt into the texturing. Each plate is unique as the texturing changes with each firing. Once the plate is shaped, it is sand blasted on the back face and then hand painted. Each application of the colouring is hand done and therefore no two plates are the same. If logos or messages are to be applied to the front face it is done with deep etch sand carving which can be colour filled or left as natural etching. A certificate of authenticity is also available to show the details about the creation by the artisans of Kalvanna Studios.
